If you’re someone who loves the sun, sand and sea, we promise you wouldn’t want to miss out on Broome, and the deals lined up for you.

Broome is a city in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, some 2,240 km north of Perth. It is well-known for its long, white sand Cable Beach, the pearling industry and dinosaurs… or at least what they left behind.

Here are some things you can do in Broome that will leave you feeling like an explorer out in the wild.

  • Ride a camel along Cable Beach

Camels on Cable Beach, Broome

Cable Beach is 22km-long and lies perfectly flat. Skip the walk on the sand and hop on up a camel for a novel experience on the sandy beach while soaking in the sounds of the waves against a descending evening sun.

  • Learn about Broome’s rich pearling history, and do some pearl shopping

Broome’s pearling industry goes way back to the 1880s, when it started with pearl harvesting to present day pearl farming. Learn all about the precious treasure from the sea on a tour at Willie Creek Pearl Farm, or go pearl shopping in Broome’s Chinatown!

  • Explore the oldest cave system in Western Australia

Tunnel Creek, off the Gibb River Road

Tunnel Creek National Park is located about 400km east of Broome. The cave system in the national park covers an area of almost 1km2, and you can still find ancient rock paintings till today.

  • Discover dinosaur footprints at Gantheaume Point

Walk the same paths as the ancient giants at Gantheaume Point, a promontory just 6km from Broome. It is home to (probably) the world’s largest dinosaur footprints, spanning 1.7 metres!

  • Natural wonders: Staircase to the Moon and Horizontal Falls

Like the rest of Australia, Broome is home to some of nature’s greatest wonders. Take time out to immerse yourself with a treat at Staircase to the Moon, a natural occurrence during certain months of the year when the rising full moon reflects off the mudflats to create a stunning optical illusion. Or check out Horizontal Falls, where intense tidal currents move between two narrow coastal gorges.
